The reasons for doing the trip, just to remind myself, were as follows:
- To check that the equipment performed as it's supposed to - especially new products such as the Kathrein CAP 900 and the Alden Netmaster
- To find out more accurately where British TV is available and what equipment you need to receive it
- To try to understand some of the common problems that we hear about from customers including using a SKY receiver in southern Europe and LNB skewing.
The Shepton Mallet Outdoor Leisure Show is on at the end of next week so it's time to make sure we're prepared for that. At least I'll be able to answer any questions on satellite reception in Europe and be confident that I'm dealing in facts, not just wishful thinking like some of the exhibitors at other shows I've been to. Unlike them, I really can speak as I found.
