What about the freesat transmission area?

Many people who watch British TV abroad are concerned that the new freesat service will only be transmitted on Astra 2D, making it very difficult to receive any channels once you get more than a few hundred miles away from the British Isles (depending on which direction you're going in).

There's nothing to worry about - for the moment at least. With the possible exception of Channel 4, all the channels will be staying where they are and you'll need the same dish size as at present.

Freesat is really only a new programme g
uide, not a new satellite or beam.
